is pleased to draw your attention to our event:

The New European Forest Strategy

Forest ecosystems play an outstanding role, both in preserving biodiversity and for the capture of carbon dioxide. At the same time, forests are under increasing pressure due to climate change. At this backdrop and anchored in the European Green Deal the European Commission has recently published its New EU Forest Strategy.

For the subsequent implementation process at EU, federal and state level, the perspectives of the German Federal Government and of North Rhine-Westphalia on the challenges of climate change and biodiversity loss and the necessary transformation processes, as well as the conflicts of use already resulting from the multifunctionality of forests, will be addressed. Proposals will be presented and discussed on how to strike a balance between the demands of nature and climate protection on the one hand and those of forest ownership on the other.

The event takes place in cooperation with the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture.

Simultaneous interpretation DE – EN will be provided.

You can follow the discussion on our YouTube Channel - or watch it there later.
