The future of animal transport in Europe - North Rhine-Westphalia provides impetus
As part of the EU's "Farm to Fork" strategy, the European Commission has set itself the goal of modernising animal welfare regulations and bringing them up to the latest scientific standards. A particular focus is on the regulations for animal transport.
In December 2023, the Commission presented a new proposal to update animal transport regulations in order to further improve the protection of animals and renew the existing requirements.
At the start of the new legislative period, we would like to invite you to join us in discussing sustainable and practical solutions for animal transport at European level. North Rhine-Westphalia can contribute valuable ideas to the European debate, which we would like to develop further with you.
We look forward to your participation and to exchanging ideas with you!
